Last updated: 12 May 2025 · Effective: 12 May 2025
These terms set out the arrangement between Familion and households or individuals who engage our household conversation and document organisation services. We have written them to be read clearly, without unnecessary complexity. Please take the time to read through them before engaging our services.
1. Definitions
Throughout these terms, the following words carry the meanings given below.

- "Household" / "You" / "Your" — refers to the individual, couple, or family unit that engages Familion's services or enquires through this website.
- "Services" — refers to the household conversation facilitation and document organisation programmes offered by Familion, as described on our website and in programme materials.
- "Session" — a scheduled, facilitated meeting between Familion and the household, conducted in person or via a mutually agreed format.
- "Agreement" — the arrangement formed between Familion and the household upon confirmation of a booking and receipt of payment.
- "Materials" — worksheets, templates, written rhythms, labelled folder structures, and other organisational documents provided by Familion during or after sessions.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website, confirming a booking, or making a payment for any of our services, you indicate that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in full.
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and above who have the capacity to enter into a binding arrangement. Where a household includes younger members, the adult household representative accepts these terms on behalf of the household.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not submit an enquiry or make a booking. We are happy to discuss any questions before you proceed.
3. Service Description
Familion offers three household facilitation programmes, each designed to help families establish shared organisational rhythms:
Household Conversation Setup Session
RM 500 · Single session (approx. 2 hours)
A single facilitated session in which the household establishes a repeatable rhythm for shared household conversations — what topics are covered, how often conversations are held, and how shared decisions are recorded.
Three-Session Family Records Programme
RM 1,520 · Three sessions over six weeks
A structured programme for households that want to gather and organise household papers, identification documents, family contacts, and a written family timeline into a single, labelled records folder.
Annual Family Conversation Programme
RM 4,380 · Six sessions over twelve months
A year-long programme comprising an initial setup session, four quarterly facilitated household conversations, and a closing annual review. The facilitator's role is to help the family hold its own conversations and maintain its own records.
Our services are educational and organisational in nature. They are available to households in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley. We may, at our discretion, make arrangements for households further afield.
4. Enquiries & Bookings
All bookings begin with an enquiry, which may be submitted through our website contact form, by telephone, or by email. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two business days.
A booking is confirmed only when Familion has sent written confirmation and the agreed deposit or full fee has been received. Verbal or informal expressions of interest do not constitute a confirmed booking.
We reserve the right to decline any enquiry at our discretion without obligation to give reasons.
5. Household Responsibilities
In engaging our services, the household agrees to:
- Provide accurate contact and household information at the time of booking.
- Attend sessions at the agreed time, or give reasonable notice if a session needs to be rescheduled (see Section 8).
- Use materials and session outputs for the household's own organisational purposes only, not for redistribution or commercial use.
- Treat facilitators respectfully and maintain a considered atmosphere during sessions.
- Not represent or imply that Familion provides legal, financial, medical, or professional advisory services of any regulated kind.
- Take responsibility for the household's own decisions; Familion's role is to support the household's own thinking, not to advise on its conclusions.
6. Intellectual Property
All materials created by Familion — including session frameworks, worksheets, templates, labelling systems, and written rhythms — remain the intellectual property of Familion. We grant households a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their own household purposes.
Households may not reproduce, adapt, or distribute Familion's materials for commercial purposes or share them with third parties outside the household without written consent.
The content, design, and structure of our website remain the property of Familion and may not be reproduced without permission.
7. Payment Terms
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Household Conversation Setup Session (RM 500): Full payment is required before the session date.
- Three-Session Family Records Programme (RM 1,520): A deposit of RM 600 is required to confirm the booking; the remaining balance is due before the second session.
- Annual Family Conversation Programme (RM 4,380): A deposit of RM 1,000 is required to confirm the booking; subsequent instalments are agreed at the time of booking.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Details are provided at the time of booking confirmation. Receipts are issued for all payments received.
Cancellations by the household: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the first session are eligible for a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations within 7 days of the first session forfeit the deposit. For multi-session programmes, sessions already delivered are non-refundable.
Cancellations by Familion: In the event that Familion is unable to deliver a confirmed session, we will offer a rescheduled date or a full refund of any amounts paid for that session.
8. Service-Specific Terms
The following additional terms apply to each programme:
Household Conversation Setup Session
- Sessions are conducted at the household's home address or a mutually agreed venue in the Klang Valley.
- The session covers the household's own conversational and organisational preferences; it does not constitute professional facilitation for external purposes.
- If rescheduling is needed, at least 48 hours' notice is requested.
Three-Session Family Records Programme
- The programme spans six weeks; session dates are agreed at the time of booking.
- The household is responsible for gathering documents before each session; Familion provides guidance on what to prepare.
- The labelled records folder provided is a physical organisational aid; it does not constitute legal storage, archiving, or notarisation of any document.
- If a session needs to be rescheduled, at least 48 hours' notice is requested. One rescheduled session per programme is accommodated without charge.
Annual Family Conversation Programme
- The programme spans twelve months; the schedule of sessions is agreed in writing at the time of booking.
- The facilitator's role is to hold the space for the household's own conversations. The facilitator does not advise on, nor represent the household in, any external matter.
- If the household wishes to withdraw from the programme partway through, fees for sessions already delivered are retained; a proportional refund for undelivered sessions may be considered at Familion's discretion.
- Quarterly sessions may be rescheduled with at least five days' notice; one rescheduled session per year is accommodated without charge.
9. Scope and Limitations
Familion's services are organisational and educational. They are not a substitute for, and must not be treated as, professional legal, financial, medical, psychological, or any other regulated advisory service.
Facilitators do not represent households in any external matter, do not provide professional advice on household decisions, and do not interpret any household's individual legal, financial, or personal circumstances.
The outcomes of our sessions depend on the household's own engagement, openness, and follow-through. Familion cannot be responsible for the decisions a household makes or for any external developments arising from those decisions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Familion's total liability to any household under these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by that household for the relevant programme.
Familion shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to any financial, relational, or administrative decisions made by the household following our sessions.
Nothing in these terms limits Familion's liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Malaysian law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to hold Familion harmless from any claims, costs, or expenses that arise from your misrepresentation of our services to third parties, your misuse of materials provided, or any action you take in connection with our sessions that is inconsistent with the educational and organisational scope described in these terms.
12. Ending the Arrangement
Either party may bring the arrangement to a close by giving written notice. For single-session bookings, cancellation terms are as set out in Section 7. For multi-session programmes, Familion will retain fees for sessions already delivered.
Familion reserves the right to withdraw from an arrangement if the household's conduct during sessions is disrespectful or inconsistent with the considered, educational character of our work.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Scope and Limitations), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) continue to apply after the arrangement ends.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any matter arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Where a disagreement arises, we ask that both parties first attempt to resolve the matter through direct, considered conversation. If resolution cannot be reached informally, either party may seek mediation through an appropriate body in Malaysia before initiating any formal proceedings.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia) and other applicable legislation are not affected by these terms.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with any written booking confirmation, constitute the full arrangement between Familion and the household.
- Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver. A failure by Familion to enforce any term on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that term in future.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to another person or household without our written consent.
- Notices. Formal notices should be sent to Familion by email at [email protected] or by post to the address in Section 16.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify active households by email.
Continued engagement with our services after updated terms have been published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
