Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 May 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Familion collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with our household conversation and document organisation programmes. It applies to anyone who contacts us, uses our website, or participates in any of our programmes.
1. Who We Are
Familion is a household communication and document organisation company registered and operating in Malaysia. Our principal place of business is at 14 Jalan Penaga, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For privacy-related enquiries, please write to [email protected].
2. What Data We Collect
We collect a small amount of personal data to operate our programmes and communicate with households. This includes:
- Contact information: name, email address, and phone number submitted through our website contact form or by email.
- Scheduling information: address, preferred dates, and session type required to arrange in-home visits.
- Programme records: written session summaries shared with the household and retained for a limited period for quality assurance purposes.
- Website data: anonymised analytics data collected via cookies, if you have consented to analytics cookies.
We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data, financial information, or health data. We do not retain any documents or records belonging to a household — those remain with the household after each session.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the following bases, in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA):
- Consent: when you submit a contact form or agree to cookies.
- Contract performance: when processing is necessary to schedule and deliver sessions you have booked.
- Legitimate interest: for internal quality review of session outcomes, where this does not override your interests.
4. How We Use Your Data
- Responding to enquiries and arranging sessions
- Scheduling and confirming in-home visits
- Sending written session summaries after each session
- Internal quality review of facilitation practice
- Sending occasional service updates — only if you have consented
We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell data. We may share data with service providers who assist with scheduling or communications, under data processing agreements.
5. Data Retention
Contact and scheduling data is retained for twelve months after the last interaction. Programme records used for internal quality review are retained for two years and then deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time. Data collected via analytics cookies is retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
6. Data Protection Measures
- All digital data held on password-protected systems with restricted access
- Facilitators sign confidentiality agreements before access to any household-related data
- Data transmitted via this website is encrypted using TLS
- In the event of a personal data breach, affected individuals will be notified within 72 hours where required by applicable law
7. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies required for basic functionality, and optional analytics cookies if you consent. You may manage your cookie preferences at any time via our Cookie Policy page. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies without your explicit consent.

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:
